With a new hull, Shenandoah will become more accessible and able to serve more students with year-round programming.

Interior Materials:  Honduran mahogany and spruce
Main Engine:  Fully mechanical Mitsubishi S6B3-Y3MPTAQ-2, rated at 429 hp @ 1940 rpm for continuous use
Propulsion:  Hundested controllable pitch propeller

Two Naming Opportunities

A gift at this level secures the naming of one of the ship’s two small-boat tenders.

Captain

$500,000 – $999,999

Four Naming Opportunities (Three Remain)

Each gift of $500,000 or higher secures the naming of one of the following primary areas of the ship:

Captain’s Cabin, Fo’c’sle (crew’s quarters), Main Saloon (Classroom), Pilot House (steering station)

Chief Mate

$250,000 – $499,999

Twelve Naming Opportunities (Ten Remain)

Each gift of $250,000 or higher secures the naming of one of the ship's twelve staterooms.

Mate

$100,000 – $249,999

Four Naming Opportunities (One Remains)

Each gift of $100,000 or higher secures the naming of one of the following primary areas of the ship:

Galley (Kitchen), Engine Room, Pilot House (Steering Station), Round House (Observation Station)

Bosun

$25,000 – $49,999

Each gift of $25,000 or higher will be recognized on a plaque in the ship’s classroom (main saloon).
